 SWEET SICILY
MONTEREY
Carefully Crafted With Love
At Sweet Sicily Monterey, our mission is to share the heart and history of Sicilian family cooking; one handmade meal at a time.
Inspired by generations of Italian heritage along the Monterey Bay, we blend tradition, love, and artistry to create authentic, organic, and GMO-free products and sauces made with semolina flour imported from Italy.
Every recipe tells a story, every bite connects family and community, and every market day celebrates the simple joy of gathering around good food.
OUR STORY
ITALIAN FOOD IS OUR PASSION
Founded in 1987, Sweet Sicily Monterey began when owner Maxine started archiving family history and treasured recipes through heartfelt interviews with her Nonna Frances Davi-Cardinalli.
Eric and Maxine together developed a thriving business that serves Monterey Bay with gourmet organic foods.
Deeply rooted in Sicilian heritage, Maxine and family has long cherished the preservation of culture. What began as a professor’s passion for storytelling and culinary tradition has grown into a beloved family business; now offering authentic, organic, and GMO-free Italian products across Monterey Bay.
Every batch is crafted using premium semolina flour imported directly from Italy, ensuring the unmistakable taste and quality of true Sicilian cuisine.
As a fifth-generation Monterey Bay Italian family, they continue to celebrate their heritage by sharing the flavors and stories of Sicily with the Monterey Bay community they love.
